Being a Mum is one of my greatest achievements and passions, and it comes above and beyond anything else, but even though I've got a brood to take care of, I found myself needing something else to excite and challenge me... do you find that? Have you got that thing, outside of motherhood, that truly lights you up?

For many of us it's our work, but then there's the battle of wanting to be an at-home, present Mum, or if you're like me with 13 children (!), heading out to a job... each day is pretty much impossible... So I started looking for something I could do from home, around the kids that challenges and excites me, as well as earns me an income so I could manage all my passions at once.
Now I truly do believe I have it all! I'm a happy stay at home mum, with a 'side-gig' that lights me up... how about you?

Let It Go !!!

Micro Manager Mum !! Who else can put their hand up to this one? As I prepared to go away for a whole week, I had prepared meals, instructed what to defrost and heat when and with what ( so nobody would get scurvy and die!) had asked for a huge favour to the daycare that Jed visited last year and had him squeezed in for 3 of the days that he's not in Kindy, cooked a whole ton of food...etc etc... I must admit that there were a few things that I couldn't get around to or just plainly decided that there was really no point,,, like sweeping the floor just one.more.time !!!! I'm here 5000kms from home and trying to let go! I have a few very heated, steam coming out of ears - type moments when I go here. My darling 79 yr old mother text me a 'happy landing' message to also include, "Jed had a lovely sleep"....this was the day he was to be in daycare !! Jed is 5. Jed is tiring and fast. In a family like mine....this is me more times than I'd like !!!!  what is it with boys and risk!? They never really outgrow it do they!!?  This week we have one climbing cliff faces 🏔️ 😍 , one jumping out of an airplane 🤔 😮 🛩️  and 2 others smashing goals 🚀 🕐 ! All adrenaline fueled and filled.
