Some days you just need to say enough!!! Well, today was one of those days!! Not proud of it but sometimes, something's got to give!! 😣🤨😲😖
Grateful that I didn't actually have to verbally say it but just planned to withdraw. Being at everybody's "beck and call" for 2 months had come to an end and just needed to pull away for a bit! 💕😋🤔😥😣😏😏
Just when I finally,,,after 31 yrs as a Mum, got my youngest off to nearly full time school, I have hubby home full time for 4.5 months 😂😍 and with him, one 14 yr old in a transition stage to a new school...and a 19yr old here when he isnt working out of town (which was a full week last week)! Plus his 2 mates here for a lot of 2 days!! and a 20yr old between a job and possible career change. My head was about to pop!!! Maybe it was just the testosterone levels around me or the constant half days of Pre Primary for Mr 5... or a combination of the other 5 school kids!!
Who knows !!!.... But I needed an escape hatch today!
Have you ever felt like that???
Or am I the only one !!!? 😍😂😖😖😲
So the plan today was... after school drop off,,,,
- which was almost not happening for Mr 5 who has decided that school everyday just is NOT happening and is
really "Inconvenient" for him !!!!
(Yes, his words to my Dad last week 🤩🤣🤭)
Where was I...see,,,,so scattered today.... Then to the Gym for a fabulous hour. (came back to my car to find it had been scraped by the car still parked - crooked- next to me!) Minor detail and a non event in my life!! 🤔😥🚗
Then to run a few errands and go find a quiet cafe corner for a coffee and my book!! This was mostly premeditated but due to the time delays of the previous events, morning coffee became a lunch date on my own! 😍😲
Yes, I felt a little guilty! Hubby and I have yet to do anything nice for his leave but having a teen hanging on every activity has yet to make that happen. But today I needed to be alone!!!
In a noise cafe, in a corner, with yummy food, good coffee and an inspirational book!!
So.. the short of it is..... sorry, not sorry 😜😛☕🥗💕💕💕
Anyone else 'get' me on this one ?!!?? Or is it just me??

Let It Go !!!

Micro Manager Mum !! Who else can put their hand up to this one? As I prepared to go away for a whole week, I had prepared meals, instructed what to defrost and heat when and with what ( so nobody would get scurvy and die!) had asked for a huge favour to the daycare that Jed visited last year and had him squeezed in for 3 of the days that he's not in Kindy, cooked a whole ton of food...etc etc... I must admit that there were a few things that I couldn't get around to or just plainly decided that there was really no point,,, like sweeping the floor just one.more.time !!!! I'm here 5000kms from home and trying to let go! I have a few very heated, steam coming out of ears - type moments when I go here.
